Hinged and Blind bottom metal.
1. Remove blue masking tape holding assembly together and discard.
2. Slide magazine feed box up and out of trigger guard assembly leaving the
spring and follower attached.
3. Remove the barreled action from your stock.
4. Install the magazine feed box into the bottom of your Howa mini receiver
by inserting the 2 half moon tabs on the back and then pushing up and back to get the front to slip into the receiver pocket.
The feedbox should be snug. The feedbox will only fit one way.
5. Install the barreled action back into your stock with the attached magazine
feed box in place.
6. Make sure the bolt is closed as you guide the follower and spring into the
feed box on the bottom of the receiver, the trigger guard will be under
spring pressure as you slip the trigger guard into position, on the hinged floorplate
open the flooplate to relieve spring pressure. Hold the action firmly into the stock
as you assemble the parts.
7. Once the trigger guard is flush with the bottom of your stock, insert the
front screw and gently snug it. DO NOT TIGHTEN THE SCREWS IF THE TRIGGER GUARD AND ACTION ARE NOT FLUSH.
8. Verify that the action is flush in the stock and the trigger guard is flush on
the bottom, then you may insert the rear action screw. DO NOT TIGHTEN THE SCREWS IF THE TRIGGER GUARD AND ACTION ARE NOT FLUSH.
9. Torque the action screws to a minimum of 35 inch pounds to a maximum of
55 inch pounds. We recommend applying a drop of oil under the screw
heads to make future disassembly easier.
